Timezones

This guide explains how Easyteam ensures accurate time tracking and reporting across multiple locations with different timezones.

How Timezones Work#

All time data in Easyteam is stored as UTC timestamps along with a timezone, creating a single source of truth regardless of where actions occur.
Each location maintains its own timezone setting, which our system uses to automatically display times in the appropriate local context.

Cross-Location Management#

Consider an operations manager in Los Angeles reviewing timesheets for stores across different timezones. When viewing the New York location's data, all times automatically display in Eastern Time. This means a 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM shift in New York appears as such, regardless of the manager's location in California.
The system handles all timezone conversions transparently, ensuring that managers and employees always work with familiar local times.
When generating reports or exports, Easyteam maintains timezone context across all data.
